Ahmed was born and brought up in East London. He has always been an organiser - while he was growing up, he took on the accounts of the family business and even ran a marketing campaign around Aldgate that brought in hundreds of new customers.

When it came to going to university, he knew he wanted to stay local so chose to do Business Studies at London Metropolitan. He started an Enterprise Club on campus to bring together like-minded people, and has organised for a number of senior business people to come and speak to the members.

He wants to be an entrepreneur, like his parents, but his ambitions stretch well beyond the East End. But Ahmed knows where his roots are, and still remains an active part of the family business.
